Pokemon GO remains to be popular yet controversial. The augmented reality game has recently received a big update that deletes footprints of nearby Pokémon and adds avatar re-customization. Almost at the same time, Niantic also shut down a tracking patch. It’s clear now that the company doesn’t like cheating. We know it won’t be the first and last and Niantic is expected to do some major moves in the coming days.

It can be annoying for avid Pokemon GO players but that’s the gaming business for you. Niantic’s pulling out of trackers resulted to people asking for refunds. Fortunately, those requesting for refunds have been successful. Niantic’s going against those similar apps disappointed players because those tracking apps have been useful.

If you notice, there’s the three step glitch that’s been annoying players. It’s an issue that’s been bugging Pokemon GO fans for some time now but there’s no word yet when the fix will be issued. Some players have started to ask for refunds according to a Reddit thread. Apparently, it’s easy to ask for refunds. Just say the in-app item you’ve purchased is not working properly. Asking for refunds is not unusual but it’s really good that, at least, Niantic is giving in to the requests of the gamers.

No official statement from Niantic has been released about all the issues yet but a number of people are angry if you are to check out the subreddit. It’s an interesting problem–one that should be solved ASAP. There are many questions that only Niantic can answer so let’s wait and see.
