Before there was Pokémon Go, Nintendo had their first powerhouse game called Miitomo. Okay, calling it a powerhouse game may be a slight (read: major) exaggeration. In fact, some have actually referred to this mobile game (that is not really that much of a game) as a failure on the Japanese company’s part. Good thing someone brilliantly thought of creating an augmented reality game to haunt monsters. But if you’re still playing Miitomo, then you finally get to update it after weeks of silence from the developer.

The main new thing with this latest update is a new mini-game called Candy Drop so all the pieces of candy that you’ve earned from the other mini games will now be put to use. Previously, you could only use them to reveal your virtual friends’ inner thoughts. But now, it’s not just a consolation prize anymore and you can actually use it to get the chance to get a Game Ticket. And even if you don’t win a Game Ticket, you can convert it to a coupon.

Previously, you could only get Game Tickets through an in-app purchase or through rare finds within the game. But now, if you’re able to collect 10 coupons, you can trade it for a Game Ticket. And when you have a Game Ticket, then you can play the Miitomo Drop Game so you can get new clothes for your avatar.

The update also brings some more minor changes like you don’t need to spend candy to see your friends’ answers to a survey. You can also choose to turn off the Miifoto of the Day or choose which friends can visit your rooms. So if you’re still playing Miitomo (while waiting for new Pokémons or something) then update to the latest version.
