A day before the big reveal, the mobile industry is scrambling to check out all new leaks and rumors available. We’ve shared with you information about the numerous things we should expect about the new premium phablet and more details are actually coming in. This isn’t a last minute speculation but we’re glad to hear something about the new S-Pen.
Rumor has it that the S-Pen will be enhanced this time with new features. The information we’ve read are exciting because avid fans of the Note will finally get more from the beloved Samsung stylus. Three features are expected to be introduced: Translate, Magnify, and Glance. The names alone tell us what the new functions are all about.
Translate will be useful for those who are reading text in a different language. This makes translation easier because you simply have to hover the S Pen over a word or a phrase. No need to copy a text and then paste on a translator app or Google translate because Note 7 will automatically show the translation or meaning of the phrase. This feature helps as it saves time in getting the information one needs.
Glance is a new feature that allows the mobile user to change and switch between apps with the use of the S Pen. Simply hover the stylus over an app thumbnail to switch to another.
Last feature but definitely not the least, is the Magnify function which you guessed it right, makes any text, image, or an area bigger when you want to zoom in. It’s something Note users have been wanting for a while now because it’s really useful.
Another rumor has it that the new S Pen can also be used on the Note 7 and Note 7 edge while under water. That’s the IP68-certification being put to good use but the S Pen working in water is a new thing. We don’t really need it but it’s definitely a welcome feature. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see tomorrow, August 2, to find out if the new S Pen features are for real.
