Here we go again, more information about the upcoming Galaxy Note 7. We’re okay with leaked images like this set because they actually give us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event which is happening tomorrow, August 2. We’re sure that most people within the Android community are interested in this launch because Samsung skipped a number from Note 5. Instead of a Note 6, we’ll see a Note 7 and its edge variant. We’re still not sure if there will still be a flat version because numerous reports are contradicting. At this point, we’re confused but we know we’ll definitely be surprised.
Latest images tell us that the Galaxy Note 7 will have a USB-C. This means a possible new Gear VR virtual reality headset. This information is believable because it’s from NWE. You know how trustworthy this source is when it comes to leaks prior to official launch. We’ve lost count of how many times information shared turned out to be true so we’re expecting this is no different.
This time, the Galaxy Note 7 appears to be NOT flat. It has a curved-edge screen. We’re still hoping for a flat variant so this could be the Note 7 edge version. NWE has also shared a list of the phablet’s specs and features. There will still be a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD screen with 2K display (2560 X 1440), Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos 8890 processor, 4GB RAM, 12MP dual pixel Sony IMX260 sensor, 5MP dual-pixel front-facing camera, 64GB or 128GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for storage expansion, 3500mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, the new and iris scanner.
The smartphone is also believed to be IP68-certified for dust-, water-, and wind-resistance. Color options include Blue, Silver, and Black as we mentioned earlier. As for the S-Pen, it’s expected to offer 4096 levels of pressure and less than 50ms latency.
Reveal date will be tomorrow August 2 with an August 15 market release. As for the price, it should be around $950 USD or 850 Euro.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Samsung GearVR is said to be wider at 207mm and taller at 122mm and 98.5mm deep compared to the older model. The 2016 GearVR is also said to have a 110-degrees view compared to the old 96-degree view. Of course, this one is expected to be compatible with the new Note 7, Note edge, as well as, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge–and even last year’s Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 edge, and Galaxy S6.

It would be nice if the S pen could turn into a mini blootooth ear piece.
