We’re still almost a week away from the expected announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (yes, it seems like they really are skipping a number) and so that means a lot more rumors and leaks regarding specs and features of the flagship phablet. Today, the latest news is that Indian import-export data site Zauba has revealed that the upcoming device will have a 12MP camera, which is the same as the current flagships, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
While this is not really surprising news, what we would be interested to know is whether or not the phablet will actually have dual-camera modules. Samsung has actually been providing other OEMs with this module, like for Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphones, but there is no news yet if we can expect it as well on their next device. If they do opt not to incorporate that module, then the camera might have an aperture of F/1.7, which should be good enough for low lighting conditions.
There isn’t anything else we can glean from the table on Zauba’s site so let’s review what we know, or what we’ve been hearing so far about the Galaxy Note 7. It will probably have a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor. It will have either a 4GB or 6GB RAM and probably a 64GB or 128GB or even 256GB internal storage. Another strong rumor about the phablet is that it will have an iris scanner that will hopefully be better than the other ones released in the market previously.
All will be revealed by August 2 when the Galaxy Note 7 will be officially revealed. We do hope it’s as good or even better than the current flagships so that Samsung fans will have something to be excited about once again.
