Cricket Wireless has just announced an “Unreal” offering. You’d describe the latest deal as definitely unreal as the Alcatel IDOL 4 is now being offered with a pair of VR goggles. We’ve heard about this same bundle last week with an IDOL 4S. For only $199, you can avail of the IDOL 4 handset with the addition of the special goggles. Offer will start on August 5 but you have to get a smartphone plan to activate. There are no annual contracts–just a plan for activation.
The Alcatel IDOL 4 is said to be the first Android phone packaged with a pair of virtual reality goggles. It’s an exclusive offering by Cricket Wireless but we all know there’s also the IDOL 4S/VR Goggles bundle. The only difference is the ‘S’ which means added features plus of course, the price. The IDOL 4S + VR is $349 and is now up for pre-order.
The Alcatel IDOL 4 VR Bundle will be available beginning August 5 for a lower price. The handset boasts of a 5.2-inch Full HD display, full metal frame, 13MP rear camera, 8MP wide-angle selfie camera with flash, Boom Key button, dual 3.6-watt multi-directional speakers, and Waves Audio technology. The IDOL 4 is pre-installed with the Onetouch Music app for a more enjoyable audio experience.
Meanwhile, the VR goggles allowed the IDOL 4 user to access any VR content with immersive audio and visuals. With the virtual reality goggles and the IDOL 4 inserted, you can enjoy 360-degree games, videos, and images.
