One of the surprise hits from Dark Horse Comics is a graphic novel trilogy called Dog Mendonca and Pizza Boy, a strange but extremely interesting story about a former pizza delivery guy who gets involved in the adventures of a paranormal investigator named Dog Mendonca and a host of equally strange characters. The popular graphic novel trilogy is now a game and it is finally available for Android devices. You can download and play it on your smartphone and tablet and while it is not free, the minimal cost should be worth it.

The creator of the graphic novel, Filipe Melo, is highly involved in the crafting of this game so all the elements that you loved from the story is carried over into this game. The game takes place in Lisbon, Portugal, which is apparently the monster capital of the world. You will be playing Eurico, the aforementioned pizza boy, who unwittingly becomes the unpaid apprentice of Mendonca. What makes it even stranger is you get to solve mysteries together with a moody gargoyle’s head, a middle-aged werewolf, and an ancient demon trapped in the body of a young girl. Fun times.

The game follows an all-new story and is accompanied by “astonishing hand-made visuals” that will make you feel you’re actually reading a graphic novel, except that you’re in there, playing it. The riddles may be tough at times but ultimately they’re fun to solve. It has made-for-mobile gameplay and also full voice acting, which includes a lot of nerd and pop culture references.
