One of the most iconic RPGs ever to grace video gaming history is now on Android. Ladies and gents, gather around the campfire and celebrate – Final Fantasy VII is finally here. It’s the game that convinced us of the legendary status of the Final Fantasy franchise, and you can now play it on your mobile phone, errm… with some glitches here and there.
If you’ve been wondering when Final Fantasy VII (FF7) will make it to Android – we never thought the day would come – but it is here now. Square Enix has finally brought to Android the iconic game that was only available on iOS until today. The Japanese outfit is so confident of the success of the game that it is even willing to launch the game on Android with glitches and all.
If you read the app information on the Google Play Store listing, it says that there are known bugs when your character is traveling the FF7 world on transport – be it train or chocobo. The game is known to hang when a player embarks or disembarks on a mode of transport. The solution? Save as much as you can, especially before going on a transport. You can load the most recent save file if the game locks up.
How much will this glitch-y version of FF7 cost you? Still a premium price of USD$15.99, even with an annoying and pretty unacceptable bug. If this were another game, I’m sure we’d be going “meh” and just move along. But it’s FF7. What to do?
