Deep customization and tweaking, something most Android users will boast to you about (if you’re still not on an Android device), but some will boast more than others. These are the guys who gain root access to the Android operating system and start to incorporate more custom features and tweaks. This is made possible by one legendary tool, SuperSU made by the equally legendary developer Chainfire. The new version 2.76 carries with it improvements and fixes for your rooted device.
The 2.76 version of SuperSU is introducing a new request for confirmation every time the log is cleared. It also carries a fix for an annoying memory leak that caused random reboots and problems with root permissions in various devices. Pretty cool, yes?
There have also been times when earlier versions caused a temporary or permanent loss of root privileges, which is not cool at all especially if you run a lot of apps that require root access. In addition to all these improvements, Chainfire has introduced a guide screen for new users of SuperSU, popping up when you first start the tool.
You can download the app via the Google Play Store, or update your current installation of the app. You will then be notified that binaries need to be updated as well. If you need more information regarding SuperSU, visit the official XDA thread. We remind you that gaining root access is an advanced hack and will cause you problems if you don’t know what you’re doing. Better read up on it before you try it.
