The Galaxy A7 series is the latest lucky recipient of Android Marshmallow from Samsung. The South Korean tech giant is really getting busy with releasing the SOFTware update and is actually right on schedule. This update is specifically for the unlocked first-gen Galaxy A7 phones. Most of these Galaxy A7 units are found in Russia. As with other Marshmallow upgrade, this one will bring better battery life, Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap, and app permissions among others.

Samsung has also updated the support document for the phone model so you will see the changes the Android 6.0.1 brings. Note that this is for the new Galaxy A7 (2016) launched earlier in January running only Android Lollipop out of the box. Unfortunately, you won’t find the Themes Store yet. We’re guessing Samsung is still not ready. To check if the update is available, simply go to Settings> About Device> Software Update and then click on ‘Update Now’.

Samsung also updated the user manual of the Galaxy A5 which could mean the Marshmallow upgrade for the phone is about to be released soon. We just have no idea when exactly or what region will get it next but we’re crossing our fingers sooner for everybody.
