Samsung has been releasing various video ads showing the various aspects of its new flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. For the latter, one of its selling points is the fact that it has one of the longest battery life among its class. And to emphasize this aspect of the product, the OEM has this time enlisted the services of beloved actor Danny Glover, to tell us that life is too short to be always charging your smartphone.

The 60 second ad shows a vignette of scenes where people are always trying to beat time or buy more time (some people literally doing it), but at the end of it all, we’re always running out of it. It even shows that running out of time is the basic plot of most action movies, something Mr. Glover is of course familiar with, having starred in the Lethal Weapon series.

The entire ad features intentional hammy acting, even from Glover himself, who while watching the ad (or rather part of the ad) on his Galaxy S7 edge (of course), tells his wife, “It’s not my best work.” There is even a breaking of the fourth wall in one part, showing that the ad is not taking itself seriously, as most of their recent ads have also been doing.

But what Samsung wants you to take seriously is the battery life of the Galaxy S7 edge, which some reviews have said is the best in the market right now. With its 3600mAh battery, you will be able to have some battery left over at night after a full day of use, partly because of the Exynos chip but also due to the Doze feature of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As Danny Glover said, life is too short for devices with short battery life, so therefore you should get the Galaxy S7 edge.
