Wireless charging is not yet the standard in mobile and smart home industries but it’s slowly becoming more popular than ever. If not popular, at least, in demand. Not a lot of smartphones available in the market today support such but some companies are working on their contributions. Take for example this FLI Charge which is expected to deliver powerful and fast wireless charging for all mobile devices.

Wireless charging may not be perfect yet but scientists and researchers are hard at work to figure out how to make things better and more affordable. We’re in the age of conductive charging which is very much faster than the old inductive method. It’s also fast as plugging into an electrical outlet. The FLI Charge impresses as it can juice up a maximum of eight gadgets at the same time.

For those people already getting annoyed with the cables and charges, wireless charging is for you. However, not many phones are supported because a special technology is required. With the FLI Charge, you can just place your smartphone on the charger and it will immediately charge up. It charges a phone or tablet regardless of the orientation or position and it can also charge other USB powered devices. It’s safe as there’s no radiation or magnetic fields.

The FLI Charge system comes with the following products: FLI way 40, FLI case, FLI cube, and and the FLI coin. The charging pad is called the FLI way 40 while the FLI case is the protective phone case that must be used. There’s the FLI cube that attaches to the FLI way and works as a USB port with 2.4 AMP out. Lastly, the FLI coin is a tiny device that comes with an extendable power cable. All these are part of a bundle with an $89 starting price.

Charging the phone is “wireless” but you still need to plug the charging pad into a wall. Those lines that you see are swimlanes that send power. Devices that are FLI Charge-enabled have the FLImod embedded which allows connection to a supported pad or charger. The FLIcase is compatible with the iPhone 6 variants (6 Plus, 6S, and 6S Plus), and the latest Galaxy S6 and S7 phones.

The project is now listed on Indiegogo. Goal fund is only $100,000 so if you believe in the product, feel free to donate some amount so we could see the FLICharge turn into reality.

This is a crowdfunded project, and as such may not deliver what its creators initially promise. Most crowdfunding sites, like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, have policies about what happens to your money if the project fails to deliver on its goals, but choosing to back a project is inevitably a risk. Android Community’s reporting on crowdfunded projects should in no way be seen as an endorsement, unless specifically stated, and we recommend closely examining the terms and conditions to understand your individual rights as a backer before making a pledge.
