After upgrading the Toughpad FZ-B2 tablet, Panasonic is here again with another rugged tablet: the Toughpad FZ-A2. This new Android mobile device is a fully rugged 10.1-inch tablet that is expected to become another bestseller. Recently introduced at the Panasonic Automotive Innovation Summit in Barcelona, Spain, this one is durable and ideal to use for showrooms, automotive workshop sessions, and the like.
This new Panasonic tablet is also said to be ideal for those working in the hospitality and retail industries. It’s best for those who takes orders or those people who need to document many important information. Mobile workers who are always on-the-go will find this very useful and ready for rough use. Panasonic Toughpad models always stand the test of time and this Toughpad FZ-A2 tablet is no different.
Tablet is user-friendly yet powerful. It boasts of a fanless design so it’s slim at 16.4mm and also lightweight at only 880g. The tablet is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8550 Quad Core processor and 4GB RAM. There’s a 32GB onboard storage to store all your data, important documents, and media content. Gadgets runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow already out of the box plus with Android for Work’s Enterprise Security.
Other specs of the tablet include the following: 10.1 inch screen, 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, 800cd/m2 high visibility, 10-point capacitive touchscreen display that reads even gloved hands, and USB 3.1 Type C OTG among the many other ports available. You can have the tablet customized with a 2D barcode reader, smartcard reader, or 4G connectivity. It offers a reversible connection so you can charge other gadgets.
Making the Toughpad really tough and rugged is the magnesium alloy. The tablet has been drop tested already from 1.2meters. It is also guaranteed to be water- and dust-resistant as proven by the IP65 rating. Tablet can also survive extreme temperatures anywhere between -10 to +50°C.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 will be ready this July with a $1,357 (£939) price tag. That’s a bit pricey for an Android tablet but know this one is fully ruggedized so it can last longer compared to other tablets in the market.
