We never really doubted that ZUK would be rolling out a new smartphone. Last year’s Z1 finally has a follow-up. We’ve been anticipating for a ZUK Z2 Pro but looks like the next release won’t be the ‘Pro’ version but just a plain ZUK phone. This is different from the Lenovo Z1 in India. It’s the next-generation Z device that was recently shown off by ZUK CEO Chang Cheng.
The new phone is powered by an Exynos 8890 processor as shown off by Chang Cheng, CEO of ZUK. That’s an interesting information but a teaser showed that the ZUK Z2 comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The particular teaser above shows a Snapdragon logo. That’s very clear and you can’t go wrong saying that there will indeed be a Snapdragon-powered version.
The upcoming ZUK phone is said to come with a small screen only at less than 5-inches. When it comes to specs, we’re told to expect a 4.7-inch 1080p display, 8MP selfie camera, 13MP rear camera, 32GB built-in storage, 3GB RAM, and a 4100mAh capacity. The special launch will happen next week, January 31. Let’s wait and see then if this ZUK Z2 will be powerful or “pro” enough for you.
Here are two new leaked images, giving us ideas how the next-gen ZUK would look like:
