If you belong to a household where there are a lot of members, and music loving ones at that, having music streaming apps is all but natural. But with most services costing you around $9.99 per month, then that’s a pretty expensive budget you’ve got there. What if you can share a subscription? Spotify’s new Family Plan aims to give you and your household that as it now allows 6 accounts per plan at only $15.
Spotify Family Plan has actually been around for some time now, but for $14.99 a month, you could only have two users using the service. You would have to add $5 per user if you wanted to include more people in the plan. So that may be cheaper than the $9.99 per person, but still a tad expensive. But the new Family Plan from arguably the most popular on-demand music streaming service is now offering you a better deal: $14.99 per month but you get up to a maximum of 6 accounts tied to it.
For all the users tied to the Family Plan, you still get your individual accounts with your own saved music and playlists and preferences. So this means no one lording it over the house with their own musical preferences. You can just use your own devices to listen to your music, or if you’re having family time and streaming to speakers, you can just switch accounts when it’s each person’s turn.
So if you have 6 people in the household, this is a pretty good plan to have as it will just cost you around $2.49 per user per month. The previous scheme had you spending $5.99 per person since it was just a max of 5 accounts. The new Spotify Family Plan is now available for subscription.
