If you’re looking for a cross between a smartphone and a tablet, which some call a phablet, that is affordable but still has more than decent specs. If you’re a Cricket Wireless subscriber or planning to become one anytime soon, one device you might want to try out is the ZTE Grand X Max 2, a 6-inch device that is powered by an octa-core processor and even a USB Type-C connectivity. The great thing about it is it only costs $200.

The device is the successor to the ZTE Grand X Max and the Max Plus devices, but with much better specs of course. It has a 6-inch Full-HD screen and has a 1.5GHz 8-core processor (Snapdragon 617 SoC) which should make it more powerful than other smartphones in its category. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable with a microSD card) and a 3,400mAh battery plus Qualcomm Quickcharge technology.

It has dual-rear cameras, one 13MP and a 2MP one, while the front shooter is 5MP. Strangely (or fortunately), it has a USB Type-C connectivity, which not a lot of high-end Android devices have switched to yet. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, so you just have to wait for the update to 6.0.1.

The best thing of course is its price tag of $200, but it is exclusive to Cricket Wireless, so you might want to check out first if that is a good carrier for you and if it really is a smartphone that you want to get.
