While we now have the convenience of having power banks in order to still charge our mobile devices on the go, sometimes we still wish for a way to charge without having to deal with messy cables. A new IndieGoGo project has created one such product called POP and it is basically a battery extension that can be attached to your phone through a polyurethane gel strip backing. You can also interchange batteries so you can never run out of power (well as long as you have extra batteries).
When you’re using your device heavily for work outside of the office and you don’t have any way to charge on your wall socket, then a power bank is always your best friend. But if one full charge is not enough for you, having extra batteries on hand will be useful as you interchange them as needed. The POP power bank is made up of slip proof plastic and can is kept in place using a polyurethane gel strip backing.
It will work with Android devices that have centrally placed microSUB charging ports. It houses an 1800mAh S2 battery as they are the easiest and most affordable ones out there. And in case you need to charge the POP itself and your smartphone as well, you can actually charge both at the same time.
So far, the campaign has only gotten 18% of its $20,000 fixed goal, but there’s still a month to go before it ends. You just need to pledge $19 to get one POP plus a battery. Estimated shipping date is September this year.
