Here’s another option for a GPS watch for the hardcore runners: the Garmin Forerunner 735XT. This new smartwatch is more for the health and fitness enthusiasts. That’s a given because Garmin has always been know for its products that help in navigation and sports like cycling, running, swimming, hiking, skiing, paddle sports, strength training, or plain cardio. It looks like an ordinary sportswatch but it does more than just tell time or distance. The watch can show data and statistics during and after workouts.

The Garmin Forerunner 735XT boasts of a large, round display so user can quickly have view of the stats. It can track heart rate data and with the Strava Live Suffer Score app, the person can know how much he’s been working out. As with most smartwatches, more custom apps can be downloaded and used from the Connect IQ store.

The Forerunner 735XT is said to be ideal for the athletes who need “dialed-in data for training and race day” according to Garmin’s VP of worldwide sales Dan Bartel. The device is said to offer comprehensive data, smart features, and easy customization. Other features include the Elevate wrist heart rate technology, Garmin Connect Insights, standard smartwatch notifications, and 14-hour battery life in training mode. Price tag reads $449. Available in black/gray and midnight/blue color options. That’s a bit pricey for a smartwatch but it’s from Garmin and it’s ready for any rough sports and outdoor use.

You can also avail of the Garmin run bundle for $499 which includes the HRM-Rum or the $599 tri-bundle that features the HRM-Swim and HRM-Tri.
