There are a lot of smartwatches out in the market now, and so some brands need to have a special factor for consumers looking for a new wearable to consider them. And as with a lot of things, slashing off $50 on a device may be reason enough to make the purchase. Verizon and Motorola are doing just that as two of their newer smartwatches, the Moto 360 2nd Gen and the Moto 360 Sport are at $50 off until the end of the month.
The reason for this special discount is not because there’s something wrong with these models. At least, we hope so. But they are Verizon’s featured accessory of the month, and that usually entails a big discount to push these products. The Moto 360 2nd generation has two variants, the 46mm watch and the 42mm one which is being marketed for ladies. The Moto 360 Sport meanwhile, from the name itself, is focused more on monitoring physical activities like running, workouts, etc with its GPS tracking feature.
All three smartwatches are of course running on the Android Wear platform and have the ability to track your calorie intake, heart rate, number of steps that you take in a day, plus all the usual notifications from your connected smartphone. They all have 300mAh batteries which should last you a day and a half. All three smartwatches also have IP67 certification so it is dust proof and can be immersed in water up to 1m for 30 minutes.
The Moto 360 2nd gen 46mm is now only $349.99 while the 42mm variant is at $299.99. The Moto 360 Sport meanwhile is at $249.99. The sale lasts until the end of the month and is valid only on the Verizon site.
