Huawei’s Honor brand has just launched the Honor V8 and we know that the phone is more imaging-centric. Another product launched is the Honor A1. It’s not another smartphone but simply a fitness tracker that can track distance, exercise time, calories burnt, steps taken, and sleeping patterns. A smartwatch may be enough to track your movements but having a simple device as the Honor A1 can be good for those who want less complications in their digital lives. You see, a smartwatch can do numerous things already but the Honor A1 can give anyone peace of mind–because less is more.
The Honor Band A1 also comes with a UV sensor so you can know the radiation levels wherever you are. This way, you can know the right amount of sunscreen you need. The fitness band doesn’t just tell you how much you’ve moved but also the kind of protection you need, at least, from the sun. The Honor Band A1 can also alert you of messages and calls so in a way, it’s like a smartwatch.
The Honor Band A1 works with Android and iOS over Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. It comes with an LED light for notifications, a 70mAH battery, microUSB connector, metal band, and IP57 certification. The metal band can be replaced with leather or silicon straps depending on your style. But since this will be mostly used during fitness activities, the silicone version is highly recommended.
Color options include Black, Midnight Blue, Tan, or Red for the leather band and Mint Green, Pink, Beige, and Black for the Silicone version. Available for CNY 99 which is about $15 (CNY 99) for the silicone and $30 (CNY 199) for the leather version–very affordable! Out in China starting May 25.
Another product shown off by Huawei is the Honor VR. Yes, Huawei is joining the trend with the virtual reality headset but we don’t have much details yet except for its built- HiFi surround sound and that it will offer a more comfortable viewing experience. We’ll share more information about the Honor VR Soon.
