Even before LG announced the LG G5 and one of its Friends the LG 360 Cam, Samsung already has the Gear 360. The South Korean tech giant is set to launch the virtual reality camera soon together with a standalone VR headset. Well, it’s actually now available in SoKor with a 399,300 KRW which is about $350 in the US.
With the launch of the 360 Camera, the company also published a demo video on YouTube on how to get started with the device. Watch the video below:

Samsung also pushed out a companion app called the ‘Samsung Gear 360 Manager’. It’s now live on the Google Play Store. It’s not really needed to use the Gear 360 VR camera but you can use it to shoot remotely if you want, transfer media files to the phone, view content content stored on the camera, and share to social networks. Of course, the app and the Camera 360 work over WiFi or Internet connection.
There’s no mention when the Samsung Gear 360 will be available in the United States and Europe but we’re guessing soon because the app is already out and description is published in English. There will certainly be a market in other regions aside from South Korea since virtual reality is becoming more popular than ever.
Let’s just wait and see when Samsung will officially introduce the product and the app in these key markets.
