The Good Lock app, which lets you customize your locked screen and make it more productive, was released as an exclusive app for the new Samsung flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. But now, last year’s released high-end devices like the Galaxy S6 series and the Galaxy Note 5 can also now download the app, but only if they’re in specific territories where the app is available. Will we eventually see it available for other older devices?
If you don’t know anything about Good Lock yet, it allows you to make your locked screen a center of productivity, without having to unlock your smartphone or phablet. You can do such things like access frequently used apps through the App Tray, lets you access widgets and choose which ones you want to have access to, and of course customize your wallpapers and lock screens as well.
The app’s Routine feature also lets you customize different aspects of your locked screen (app tray, widget, background colors, clock) so that it will match what you need for a specific time of the day. For example, during work hours, all productivity apps will be on hand while in the evening, entertainment apps are your priority.
The Good Lock app is now available for download from the Galaxy Apps store for Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 Active and the Galaxy Note5, as long as they’re running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, it can only be downloaded and used in the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Korea, and the United Kingdom.
