If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge+ and looked on in envy while your Verizon counterparts were finally updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, well your waiting is almost over. T-Mobile has announced that they are finally rolling out the updates for their users after months of waiting. Now users will be able to enjoy Google Now on Tap, the Doze feature to keep your battery running, and other Marshmallow goodies in store for their device.

Android software version UVU2DPD1will now be arriving for the two devices that were launched late last year. For the Galaxy Note 5 owners, the update will take up 1.38GB in your phablet while Galaxy S6 edge+ owners will need more than 1.34GB space on their device. Normally, T-Mobile is faster to push out these major updates to users, but for some reason this time around, even the notoriously slow Verizon was ahead of them as it pushed out the update in March.

But anyway, now that it is rolling out to users, then they will be able to see what other things they can do with their device when it has been updated to Marshmallow. For the Galaxy S6 edge+ specifically, the updates that were brought to the Galaxy S6 edge should also arrive to the former. It should have a wider, 550px panel to view more Edge content, adding 9 more panels to the apps and contacts Edge displays, upgrading the apps panel from 5 to 10, and the addition of a new task panel as well.

So you just now have to wait for the notification that the software update is ready for your Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. You can also check it manually by going to the settings, system, and about device. It should tell you if a new software update is ready for your device.
