More than a month ago, we said that GoPro would be improving on mobile editing once it acquires Replay and Splice. The deal pushed through and GoPro now owns Replay. The app is now made available for Android devices but with a totally new identity. Replay is now called as GoPro Quik. The name seems to tell us that video editing can be done more quickly now than ever.
GoPro Quik is easier to use so you can create pro-looking videos anytime, anywhere. You can choose a maximum of 200 photos to use in one clip. Choose several videos and show them in a single clip to share with your family and friends. Included are cool styles complete with filters, music, and opening text. Feel free to trim each video, crop, slice, or change style. Once you’re done, save the video on your device or share online or send via email.
The new GoPro Quick is supported by Google Photos so you can get more photos or videos directly from the cloud. The app also features facial detection, dozens of audio tracks, and more pre-loaded styles among others.
Unfortunately, you can’t find the app yet on the Play Store. It’s not live yet because it’s still in beta mode but you can join the beta testing program by signing up on this site. You can also get the APK from APK Mirror.
