If you’re a huge Game of Thrones fan, then you’re probably counting the days until Season 6 will start this April 24. But if you won’t have a TV set available during that time, you’d probably wish for an HBO Now subscription right about…well…now. If you’re on Verizon and thinking of upgrading or if you’re with another carrier and thinking of switching, then you will get the chance to enjoy 3 months of free HBO Now on your mobile device.
HBO Now is the standalone streaming service from the cable channel that brings you not just all the movies in their library, but also their original shows like the aforementioned Game of Thrones, plus Silicon Valley and Veep whose new seasons will also be premiering soon. So when you upgrade or activate a new line with Verizon Wireless, you’ll now get 3 months of free HBO Now streaming. If you’re switching to Verizon from another carrier, you’ll also get the same deal.
To be able to qualify for this free subscription, you need to upgrade or activate a new line on a smartphone through a device payment plan. If it’s a tablet you’re going for, you need to have it on either a device payment plan or a two-year activation. Another thing you can get if you’re upgrading or activating to the Verizon Plan XL or larger, you’ll get an additional 2GB of monthly bonus data for each new or upgraded line.
Switching to Verizon can also have other benefits, like getting as much as $650 so you can pay off your contract with your existing network. But if you really want to catch that Game of Thrones premiere on the 24th, then you better move now.
