There have already been some keyboard apps that lets you type on your smartwatch so you wouldn’t have to bring out your smartphone to respond to people. But TouchOne Smartwatch Keyboard may just be the most intuitive of them all. It is also considered to be the first full keyboard solution with not just letters and numbers, but also punctuation and emoji. It supports all smartwatches running on the Android Wear platform, whether round or square.
Aside from the eight quadrants that are placed around the surface of your smartwatch and which you use to spell out the words, the app also uses T9 predictive input to make it easier to finish your message. It also use several common, intuitive gestures like swipe left to delete, swipe up to shift, swipe down to enter, and swipe right to finish typing and leave the keyboard. There are also other gestures that you can learn and use later on.
For now, there are only several apps in Android Wear that will let you use the TouchOne Smartwatch Keyboard. This includes Message, the default web browser, Mail for Android Wear and Gmail as well, Photo Gallery, Documents, Calendar. Plus you also have 3rd party apps like Wear Messenger and Quick for Wear.
If you have an Android Wear device and would like to try this out, you can download TouchOne Smartwatch keyboard from the Google Play Store for free. If you have tiny fingers, then good for you. But even though you have large fingers, the app will still make it easier for you, or so those who were in the testimonial video at least said.
