So people are now starting to realize what has been obvious to us from the beginning – that is, what a great gaming machine the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV console was. People are discovering that now, and NVIDIA is only too happy to provide them with great games that will bring the best out of the console’s Tegra X1 processor and 256-core Maxwell GPU. Adding to the list of games today is “Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel”, which is exclusive only to the NVIDIA console.
Ok, so most of us here know about the Borderlands franchise. But it’s a bit funny how 2K Games probably had a hard time thinking up a title for the game, because it’s both a sequel and a prequel. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel happens in the time between Borderlands and Borderlands 2 – so an “inter-quel”, maybe? But yes, that’s where the storyline falls for this game. Take a look at the trailer below.
The great thing about this game is that it features an improved version of the gaming engine from Borderlands 2. If anyone has played that game, you know how much fun it was. So we’re hoping this new game will also fill out the fun meter. One feature that may help us with that is that this game is setup not only for a single player campaign, but some multi-player gaming sessions as well.
The game is now available via the Android Games store on your NVIDIA SHIELD console for USD$14.99. It’s a premium price, but we suggest you take a chance on this one – a Borderlands game has not disappointed us so far.

I may be out of touch with what “exclusive” means but it has been out on PC for over a year, or do they mean exclusive within the android ecosystem. It is confusing/marketing. Its not as good as Borderlands 2 but still worth buying if you liked 2. The oxygen system works well and gives you a bit more to think about and I like the laser weapons, never once used the jumping slam move or whatever it was called. The story isn’t as good and I find the Australians in space a bit jarring, maybe because they sound too stereotypical but boosted x1000 (nothing against Australians, it also has annoying English characters “corr blimey”).
