Samsung is bringing back the Galaxy Amp. In partnership with Cricket Wireless, the South Korean company will release the Prime version of the 5-inch feature smartphone. Don’t think that it’s a less powerful device as it already connects to 4G/LTE and runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s nothing compared to the premium flagship phones but those who are looking for cheaper alternatives, the Samsung Galaxy Amp isn’t bad for a $150 smartphone.
The Galaxy Amp Prime can be purchased from Cricket Wireless stores and online. Phone is ideal for people who always want to check their social media profiles and want to be updated about what’s going on with their family, friends, and colleagues. It could be your secondary phone for stalking if you want a separate device for your gaming or social activities (and yes, because one phone isn’t enough).
The Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime features a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5MP rear camera, Quick Launch, HD video playback, and Ultra Power Savings Mode. There’s also the Easy Mode that offers a simpler interface with bigger font size and an easy-to-navigate layout. When your battery goes low and you don’t have enough time to charge it, enable the Ultra Power Savings Mode to extend standby time with only ten percent battery remaining. The device also features a one-handed operation mode so it’s easier hold and use.
Cricket Wireless and Samsung also released the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2. It’s smaller with only a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It boasts of a special outdoor mode that lets you increase the brightness of the screen for 15 minutes when you’re out under the sunlight. Just like the Galaxy Amp Prime, this one features an Ultra Power Savings Mode and Quick Launch camera. It’s cheaper at only $99.99.
