Formerly known as LeTV, LeEco is set to enter the US mobile market with a new phone under the new brand although we’ve only seen the rendered images. The Chinese startup is hosting a launch of unknown devices. The company seems to be serious when it comes to entering markets other than China after the successful release of the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le 1s, and Le Max Android phones the past years.
Invitations were sent out to the press and other tech websites for an April 20 event in Beijing, China. LeEco said it will be announcing new “products in its smart device ecosystem”. It’s just a small press launch because the Chinese OEM is believed to be working in a bigger unveiling later this year. We’re guessing a grander launch in the United States and not just in China.
The rebranded company has been around and it doesn’t just offer one phone. We’ve seen several products from LeTV including a Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth headsets, all-metal earbuds, reverse in-ear headphones, power banks, and a 4K TV. This year, LeEco could be showing off that concept buttonless phone with a curved edge display. As to when will LeEco reach the United States and other key markets in different regions, we’ll just have to wait and see for the April announcement.
