If you’re highly dependent on your chosen to-do list app, then you probably eagerly await each update, since a good developer will always want to bring something new for their users. For those who are in to Todoist for Android devices, then you will probably be pleased to know that version 9 of the app is almost here and it is bringing you several improvements and new features, both for the design side and the functionality side as well.
One of the new things about this update is the ability to parse projects (#) and then assign tasks (+) using natural language. This is building on Intelligent Input, a robust natural language parsing system, which came when it adapted the Material Design in previous updates. Another thing that comes with this version 9 update is external keyboard support, for those who prefer still using an honest-to-goodness keyboard connected to the smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth or Pixel C.
In terms of organization, you will now have various options of sorting your items in a project, like by name, date, priority, or assignee, in just one tap. And if you need to add a new task in that project, you just need to pinch your screen. Design-wise, your screen can now show how many tasks you’ve completed for the day. And if you want to show off the fact that you don’t have any more tasks on you list for the day, you have a shareable todoist zero screen.
There are also minor improvements in syncing, attaching items to your task lists, and updating formatting options as well. The update will first roll out to beta testers, and then to all the regular users by next week.
Interesting to try this out
