LG launched the X series mid-range smartphones at the Mobile World Congress last February but it’s only this week that the new devices will be available in key markets. LG’s native South Korea will have the phones first before they arrive in several key markets in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. These models are aimed at mass to mid-range categories–offering premium specs with affordable prices.

The LG X series includes the X cam and the X screen phones. Both devices offer great value for your money because they already have the highly-regarded Dual Cameras and Second Screen. Based on the name alone, the LG X Cam is more imaging-centric. It comes equipped with a 13 megapixel angle lens and a 5MP wide angle camera.

The Pop-out Picture feature is what makes the unit a great camera phone. As described, it combines two images taken by the two cameras to create a picture-in-a-frame effect. Other special features include the Signature (caption or byline), Panorama View (wide image), and Animated Photo (video+photo).
