If you grew up addicted to 80s and 90s computer games, you probably came across that weird, funny creature called Rayman. And if you played this side-scrolling platformer back then, then you probably would like to play it again, this time on your mobile device, in time for its 20th anniversary. Rayman Classic has now been tweaked for mobile devices, while still maintaining the original aesthetic of the game that made it such a popular one back then.
If you’re not familiar, Rayman is a weird, limbless character whose purpose in life is to defeat the evil sorcerer, Mr. Dark, who stole the Great Protoon and caused havoc in the universe. The fantasy cartoon world of this game is in full hyper weirdo mode, as players get to run, dodge, and punch their way across the various places, including The Band Lands, The Dream Forest, The Blue Mountains, and a host of other colorful and psychedelic places.
The game has been modified to make it easy for us to play it on our touchscreen. But if you want to play it on gamepad, it also has support for those who want to play it old school style. There are more than 5 languages supported by the game, including English, French, Italian, German, and Chinese.
You can download Rayman Classic from the Google Play Store for $4.99, all-in. It may seem a little expensive for a game, but if you’re a fan of the original, you may be willing to part with a little of your money to play it on your mobile device.
