Baseball season is almost upon us, and it is still a big deal for US sports fans – being that baseball is still one of the top sports in the US. As such, US carrier T-Mobile is trying to get the most mileage from its Major League Baseball (MLB) sponsorship by offering MLB.TV Premium access to its subscribers.
So here’s the deal – T-Mobile is still a major sponsor of the MLB, and it will remain to be for the next three years. That said, you will hear the carrier’s name as sponsor of the T-Mobile Home Run Derby during the All-Star Week, and even the T-Mobile Junior Home Run Derby as well. But that’s still a ways off. As Opening Week rolls in, T-Mobile will be giving its subscribers a treat – premium access to MLB.TV.
That means, you will be able to stream all out-of-market regular season games live, all in all a total of 7,000 hours streaming live baseball action throughout the season. That in itself is a USD$109 deal for others, but T-Mobile subscribers only need to sign up to get it.
The content will be available as part of the T-Mobile Binge On program, which means the streaming data will not count against their high-speed data allotment. And this year, the MLB.TV Premium subscription will even include access to At Bat Premium app content. Cool deal? Yeah, we think so.
