The LG G5 is making big waves today going against the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Sony Xperia X Performance. It certainly has a bit of an edge because of its “Friends” and the modular design that makes its unique. We’ve seen a few comparisons and features already and we know a lot of people are anticipating for its arrival. In the US, the new LG premium flagship phone will be available from the major mobile carriers starting April.
Several carriers and retailers are set to offer the LG G5. There’s AT&T, Best Buy Mobile Stores, Best Buy, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular. LG will be bringing its Friends and other accessories. You have a lot of options to make a better mobile experience. If you’re into virtual reality, you can get a VR viewer as companion. For those into mobile photography, use the special plug in that can turn your phone into a compact camera.
The LG G5 boasts of a full aluminum body. The slot we featured a few months ago is actually the part that receives the different accessories like an extra battery and camera plug in among others. No word on pricing and exact availability but we’ll let you know soon. By next month, we’ll know for sure why the LG G5 gathered numerous awards at the recent Mobile World Congress.
LG is also throwing a free battery and charging cradle for early bird buyers who preorder the smartphone. When that starts, however, is something only LG and its partners now. You can sign up to get notified when that information is available.
