While it is sometimes as easy as pie (although pies are not really easy right?) to copy and paste text on your Android device, there are some apps, and some of them are pretty important, that doesn’t let you copy text from their app for one reason or another. That is why you have apps that can do that for you. One of these is called Universal Copy and from its name itself, it is pretty self-explanatory what it does.
But in case you need me to spell it out for you, here is what the app does. For those apps on your device that don’t allow the copy feature to do its job, like Facebook, Instagram Tumblr, YouTube, etc, you will now be able to do so through Universal Copy. After you’ve installed the app, you’ll see it in your notifications center, ready to use whenever you feel the need to copy part of the text in a site or app.
Click/activate the app and then select the text that you want to copy from any of the apps that we mentioned (or even those we didn’t mention but won’t let you copy). The selected text will be in blue and then all you have to do is press the copy button in the top bar and then paste it anywhere you want.
You can download Universal Copy from the Google Play Store for free. Plus, it is free and there are no ads to interrupt your copy and pasting. It may not be the most exciting of apps, but it does get the job done.
