With the release of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, we were told to expect a free Gear VR with early pre-orders. Those who ordered for the latest premium flagship phones from the South Korean tech giant from the first day of pre-order until March 10, 2016 are eligible to avail of the free VR headset. Since a number of people have already received their units earlier than expected, that means they can now redeem their Gear VR.
Samsung has finally opened the Gear VR redemption page. Check redemption status by choosing where you availed of the new Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge device. There are several options: AT&T, Best Buy, Costco, Metro PCS, Sam’s Club, Target, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Walmart.
Depending on the carrier or store, different information will be shown on the next page. We clicked on AT&T and this appeared:
The same pages appeared when we chose MetroPCS, Sam’s Club, US Cellular, Verizon, and Walmart. Apparently, the offer for the said carriers and stores are limited only and while supplies last.
Next page for Best Buy, CostCo, and Target showed this information:
The mentioned retailers are expected to deliver the Gear VR directly to the consumer.
When it comes to T-Mobile, next page featured more information:
Looks like T-Mobile has done it again by adding some “uniqueness” to the deal. The Gear S7/S7 edge comes with a free Gear VR plus free one-year Netflix.

I pre-ordered a S7 in the UK directly from the Samsung online shop before the free Gear VR cut off date. The phone arrived but no Gear VR, called Samsung and was told that they had ran out and was not sending out any more, so if I was you I would grab one fast.
