It’s a privilege for a lot of developers out there to get a chance to attend Google’s annual developer conference, which is known as Google I/O. That is why year after year, developers register their names for a chance to go. The site for Google I/O 2016 just went live, and registration will start on March 8th.

The way this happens, Google usually does a raffle of the registered names. It will be the same for this year. Interested people will need to register sometime between March 8th and 10th to have an entry to the raffle. We have to make it clear that registering doesn’t mean you automatically get an invite.

If by the goodness of the Google gods you manage to get a spot, then you are entitled to then you’re your tickets, which are premium priced at USD$900 for the general public. If you are a student, then you can get an academic ticket for USD$300. If selected in the raffle, registrants can only buy one ticket.

The conference will be coming back to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California this year, from May 18-20. But don’t worry if you can’t make it, all the great presentations will surely be streamed. Add to that, Android Community will be covering the biggest news out of I/O 2016.
