If you think that the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge with their gold or rose gold colors are high-end enough, apparently there are some people who actually want the real thing on their devices. UK retailer Truly Exquisite is offering gold and platinum plated version of the new flagships from Samsung and if you want to be one of the first to own one, you can now pre-order the devices on their website.
Lest you think these are just mere “imitations” of the actual thing, you can order the real Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, but they will come in either 24K Gold, 18K Rose Gold, and Platinum platings. And of course since these are actual gold and platinum, that means you’ll have to pay a substantial amount of money in order to get them. The prices start at around $2,350 (£1,700) which is more than twice the prize of the original device.
But to make up for the expense, it will also come with a “Luxury Wooden Box”, a Samsung Gear VR headset, and a wireless charging pad. And of course, you get to enjoy all the new features of the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, including the Quad HD 2560 x 1440 display, Exynos 8890 processor, the 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable by a microSD card again, hurrah!). It is also water and dust resistant, more so than the previous flagships.
To pre-order, simply head on over to the Truly Exquisite site and fill up the form. The Plated versions will be launched after the official date when the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will officially be out and that is scheduled for March 11. All the handsets bought will come with a 1 year warranty and are all unlocked.
