It’s that time of the year again when all you can think about are hearts and chocolates and love…and the fact that Plants vs Zombies 2 is definitely going to release a Valentines themed update. And of course we’re right since they won’t let an opportunity like this pass them by. This time it’s a 13-day event called Valenbrainz (of course!) and like their usual holiday updates, you’ll get new plants, zombies, costumes, levels, etc. But the great news is that after that, you’ll get a Modern Day Part 2 update that won’t have anything to do with Valentine’s anymore.
But first up, let’s talk about Valenbrainz and what new plants you can use as weapons against the lovelorn undead. The Blooming Heart kills with love, literally, as it spews heart-shaped projectiles. It’s the perfect weapon to use against Valentime-themed zombies in the 11 new levels that you can play during the 13-day event. There are also costumes you can use to dress up your plants and even some zombies too (if they won’t eat your brains first).
Then by February 16, the second part of the Modern Day update is coming to PvZ 2. You have several new plants including the Escape Root, a trap plant that can switch places with other plants when it’s trapped (get it?), a Grimrose which slinks into the shadows then surprises its target, and Dusk-lobber, which shoots into multiple lanes. And since it will be just a little after Super Bowl, you get the All-Star Zombie once again.
If you already have Plants vs Zombies 2 on your device, you can now update your app to start enjoying Valenbrainz, then Modern Day part 2 when it comes out on the 16th.
