You would think that since it is powered by the search giant of the world, Inbox by Gmail should be easier to scour for whatever email it is you’re looking for. But unfortunately, it isn’t that easy as some of the info that you’re looking for is buried deep within some conversations. However, it looks like Google is getting its act together for its popular email app and now, due to some updates and improvements, you’ll be able to find your answers much easier.
We’re not saying that the Inbox search wasn’t good at all. In fact, it’s pretty good. But there’s always room for improvement right? So yes, Google has made the search so much smarter. If you’re looking for a package tracking number or a flight number, instead of a list of emails, you’ll get a pop up card with the quick answer on it, instead of you having to go through all the emails. This card will appear if you’re searching for addresses, phone numbers, membership numbers, flights, events, bills, package tracking, etc.
This doesn’t mean that you won’t see relevant emails anymore of course. Under the quick answers, you’ll still see the top results section where all the relevant emails are listed. Under that, you’ll see the emails listed by date, but by then, you probably have already gotten your answer. This is probably the same tech that they use for their trip bundles.
The update has already rolled out to most users so you can start searching now and see how much easier it is to look for those important information.
