When you’re going for a prepaid plan with your carrier, you would think that the smartphones on offer are just entry-level or at best mediocre mid-level devices. Verizon doesn’t think you should settle for such a device. And if you like the LG brand, then the newest offering from the carrier should be right up your alley in terms of value for money. The Optimus Zone 3 is now available for the Verizon simplified prepaid service plans.

The device positioning by Verizon is that it can be your entry point into a full-featured smartphone eventually, but for now, budget is your limitation. And if you’ve been using an Optimus Zone 2, then this is the time to upgrade to the next level. The Optimus Zone 3 has a 4.5-inch display and runs on a 1.1GHz quad-core processor. It has 32GB of expandable storage, so that’s a pretty good deal for a budget device.

When it comes to the camera, don’t expect to take award-winning photos with the 5MP main one and 2MP front-facing one. But it should be decent enough to record your memories. It comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and not yet the latest Marshmallow.

You have three different options to avail of the LG Optimus Zone 3 with your Verizon prepaid. All of them come with unlimited talk and text. For a $60 per month plan, you get3GB data; for $45, you’ll 1GB data; and for $30, you get WiFi only access for data.
