If you’ve been a loyal Blackberry user for some time (yes, there are still some out there!), then you’re probably familiar with the Blackberry Virtual Expert app, which diagnoses if there’s something wrong with your device. But now that they have released its first smartphone on the Android platform, the Blackberry Priv, then this app should be available on the Google Play Store too right? So yes, you can now access it, if you’re one of the new owners of a Priv.
Basically, what the app does is give your Blackberry device, in this case the relatively new Priv, a “health assessment”. Of course you’d want your device to function properly, especially if you’ve paid a boatload of money for it (again, the Priv in this case). So you would want this self-guided diagnostics app to tell you if there is something wrong with your device. You have to put your device through several hardware tests to determine if everything is working as they should.
The app is also customized to whatever smartphone model you’re using, but in our case, Priv is the one we’re concerned with. The available tests include those for the camera, camera display, keyboard, slider, touch screen, display, loudspeaker, stereo headsets, vibrator, connector, etc. There are actually 18 different device tests and at the end of it, you will be given a summary of all the results.
However, if there are any problems with any of the components, you would have to see your service provider to fix what’s wrong. You can download the Blackberry Virtual Expert from the Google Play Store for free, but only if you have a Priv of course.
