If you are/were a fan of the truly unique Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series (despite the not so great film adaptations), then you’re probably still hoping that the newest movie coming out this year would at least be okay, if not awesome. But in the meanwhile, you can console yourself with the fact that mobile game-wise, you have several options and some of those games are even great. TMNT Portal Power is the latest to be available for Android devices.
The basic idea is you travel through various portals and of course defeat enemies like Shredder and Kraaang. And the great thing about it is not only do you get to choose whether you want to play Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael or Michelangelo, but you can actually choose to play all four of them at the same time. You can control any or all of them just by swiping through them to attack the enemies. Just punch, kick, attack and “portal your way” through any of the dimensions that you’re playing in.
There are costumes and power-ups that you can collect so you can defeat villains like the Foot Clan, Bebop, Rocksteady, etc as you go through the 5 dimensions available in the game. If you feel like you need to study the game more before you can play, there are animated intros and fast game play tutorials that you can watch. And the voices in the game are all from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series showing on Nick.
You can download the TMNT Portal Power from the Google Play Store for $4.99, if you feel up to spending a bit on a game. Oh, and there are in-app purchases available so get ready to spend a little more.
