Sony is still very much in the business. It remains to be one of the most trusted brands in the audio industry. The company’s mobile business may not be doing well but the headphones are guaranteed to impress the audiophiles. At the CES event in Las Vegas, Sony announced three new pairs: the h.ear go, h.ear on Wireless NC, and the h.ear in Wireless.
The h.ear go is the smallest portable high-res audio wireless speaker today. It offers support for Spotify Connect, Google Cast, and Multi-room capability. You can integrate it with another h.ear go speaker to complete your home entertainment setup.
The basic Sony h.ear in Wireless is a beautifully designed behind-the neck style in-ear Bluetooth wireless headphones. It comes with a built-in mic to allow hands-free use. You can expect HD voice support for high quality audio and calls all the time.
Meanwhile, the h.ear on Wireless NC boasts of a long battery life and Digital Noise Cancelling technology. The over-the-ear design offers a comfortable fit plus super clear High-Res Audio. This unit is powered by a 40 mm HD driver unit but making the audio crisp and clear is high linearity of sound plus the unwanted vibrations being suppressed by diaphragm domes.
These products are all part of Sony’s High-Resolution Audio line-up. The h.ear family uses LDAC technology to ensure high quality wireless listening experience. Pricing of the product starts at €180 ($193) for the h.ear in Wireless. The h.ear go costs €250 ($268) while the h.ear on Wireless NC is €321. The Sony peripherals will be ready in Europe by April 2016.
