From the Lenovo A7010 smartphone and the YOGA Tab 3 Pro  tablet,e let’s move on to Chromebooks. Lenovo has just announced the ThinkPad 13 Chromebook. A Windows model will be available soon but let’s just focus our attention first on the Chromebook version. Don’t think that this is one easy and light Chromebook but the ThinkPad name means that it’s ready for rough use with its build quality, reinforced frame, and hard plastic material.

Since this is part of the ThinkPad line, it will come with a large keyboard and multitouch trackpad. Other specs include a 1080p TN screen, USB-C port, HDMI out, and a pair of USB 3.0 ports. You can choose to upgrade storage up to 32GB and RAM up to 8GB maximum. As for the processor, default is Celeron and your choice from any Core i3 and i5 processor.

The 13-inch laptop can last for up to ten hours on the average but it will still depend on usage. The Chromebook is a bit pricey at $399 and heavy at 3.17 pounds but will be ready in June while the Windows version will arrive earlier in April. The Windows version will be more expensive at $449 compared to the $399 Chromebook.

The ThinkPad 13 is ideal for the students and professionals who are looking for an affordable but high quality laptop. Whether you choose the Chrome or Windows version, you’re sure to get all any work done.
