Having your friends borrow your smartphone for one reason or another does not give them free reign to go through all your photos and files. But they probably will right? That’s why apps that help protect your private photos from curious eyes are important if you have a lot of photos that you don’t want others to see but for some reason are still on your phone. Solo Photo Beta is one of those and the latest update brings fingerprint access support among other new features.
If your smartphone is any of the new Samsung flagship devices or the Nexus 5X / 6P, then you have fingerprint sensors of course. And with the updated Solo Photo app, you can now use it to access your media and change your settings. The developer says that if your device also has fingerprint sensors, you can contact them and they will check if the API is public and can also support the app.
The update also now allows your color scheme, including the status bar, action bar, and the floating action button, to match the photo you’ve currently selected. The Solo Photo name on your phone will also be changed to Gallery so it’s not that obvious that you’re using this app to hide photos from your friends.
The Solo Photo Beta update is now available on the Google Play Store. The developer promises that they’re working on making everything more streamlined and apply full material design as well.
