Could Samsung be bringing us closer to the virtual reality world? We know that the company is busy working on the Gear VR headset and bringing it to more Galaxy devices but a recent patent filing for a trademark hints on what’s believe to be a VR camera. The Samsung Duo Pixel could be more than just an ordinary camera. We’re guessing it’s a special camera that can capture virtual reality. Instead of just showing us the virtual realm, the South Korean tech giant could make it possible for anyone to capture virtual reality.

Such is not impossible but it may be a challenge for ordinary mobile consumers. This Samsung Duo Pixel is just a trademark, probably still a concept, but we’re excited at the possibility. Should we be more excited for the next Galaxy S7 as it could have the special VR-recording feature?

This Samsung Duo Pixel is also believed to be a separate camera and not a special Galaxy S7 feature. It could be a companion device with two cameras. We’re just speculating but the idea is exciting for those who are very much interested in virtual reality. It’s just starting and we’re hoping more will get into the VR technology in 2016.

So these are just speculations. What could the Samsung Duo Pixel be? The term ‘duo’ may refer to a pair or two while the ‘pixel’, refer to a camera. Two cameras? Dual cameras? We don’t know. What kind of imaging tech or device could this be? Let’s just wait and see.
