Less than two weeks since the Nexus 6P was listed on Google Store Europe, the smartphone is now available to buy in Asia, specifically in Japan. We knew it’s only a matter of time before Google brings the latest Nexus in the region and of course, the Japanese are the ones to receive the model first.
The Google Nexus 6P is available in aluminum, graphite, and frost but Japan is getting a special edition set in gold. Well, it’s not 24K gold but just the nice, gold metal finish that is common in most all-metal flagship phones being released in the market these days. We don’t know if Japan really is just a special country that it gets special edition phones. Remember the Sony Xperia Z4 in Japan when it’s actually just a Z3+ ? And now there’s a Nexus 6P Special Edition prepared especially for Japan.
The Nexus 6P Special Edition is available with three storage options: 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. To review, the Huawei-made smartphone comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, aluminum chassis, 12.3 MP rear camera, laser auto focus, 4K video recording, front-facing stereo speakers, Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, 3GB RAM, and a 3,450 mAh battery. Smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
No information if and when the gold Nexus 6P will be available outside of Japan. We just know it’s out of stock as of the moment.
