One of the highly successful app launchers today is the Nova Launcher for Android developed by TeslaCoil Software. The app is ideal for those who like to customize their devices for a more personalized and efficient mobile experience anytime. An update is currently in its beta phase which is expected to roll out publicly soon. This comes after the icon size normalization feature, more Lollipop sweetness back in May, and of course, Material Design elements being added to the app.
The latest beta version of the Nova Launcher comes with several features from the Google Now Launcher including a persistent search bar and frequently used apps in the Drawer. Startup time has been optimized while the double-tap gesture feature has been improved. You may notice that scrolling in long lists are faster now.
There are new Nova Actions for screen lock and Google Now too, as well as, a root workaround for Android Marshmallow slow expand notifications. Several bugs and errors have been fixed including that persistent search bar moving downward, those widget placeholders showing a after Titanium Backup restore, and the issue with vertical drawer spacing without card background according to a changelog.
The new features and enhancements aren’t live yet on the Google Play Store but you can get more information from the Google+ Community. Feel free to download the APK.
Download Nova Launcher from the Google Play Store. The Nova Launcher version 4.2.0-beta2 should be available anytime soon.
