“They’ve stalked you. They’ve scared you. They’ve haunted you. But now they’re ______.” You’ve probably thought that the blank would either be “back” or “scarier than ever” or something in that vein. But apparently the correct word is “cute.” Yes, you read that right. We’re actually going to have a Five Nights at Freddy’s game that would not make us piss in our shorts. But this is because it’s not an actual FNAF game, but rather one that is set in that world, only it’s sunnier and brighter and cuter.
There isn’t much known about the game at this point, except that it is called FNAF World and it takes place in the same universe as FNAF, with practically the same main characters. Only this time around, instead of giving you nightmares, you would want a stuffed toy version of them to cuddle. Or at least that’s what the teaser trailer would like you to believe. And it is hard to envision them as cute, cuddly creatures after you’ve survived the various games from the original series.
The released images just shows us the characters that are playable in the upcoming game, and they are indeed different from how we remember them at FNAF. It seems like you’ll be able to choose which ones you want to include in your team or party. The game also looks like one of those mini-games from the original and is not at all like the “combat” thing that we are used to, which is good news for the scaredy cats out there.
Aside from the teaser and the images, we have no other information about the game. But developer Scott Games will probably reveal more as the countdown to the game grows closer. Now if only we knew when the actual release date will be.
